TOTAL STATIONS

HIGH ACCURACY AND RELIABILITY FOR CONSTRUCTION SITE POSITIONING, SETTING OUT AND MEASUREMENT.

Trimble Total Stations are the only instrument on the market which use unique Trimble MultiTrack™ technology. This locks on and tracks passive prisms for monitoring or control measurements and active targets for dynamic measurement, setting out and grade control.

  • Active targets guarantee lock to the correct target, especially in dusty construction site conditions.
  • Up to 16 unique channels of target identification can be used to differentiate survey crews and grade checkers from machines.
  • Prevents costly delays and subsequent rework; faster machine speed means increased productivity and faster results to grade.

Universal total stations

The Trimble® SPS930 and SPS730 Universal Total Stations ensures you’re getting the best performance on jobs that require the highest precision with the fastest update rate available today.

They provide the highest possible degree of accuracy for construction site positioning, setting out, measurement and machine control — all from the same instrument. With Bluetooth® for cable free operation and optional machine control mode.

TRIMBLE SPS930 AND SPS730 BENEFIT FROM:

MultiTrack™ Technology – tracks passive prisms for control measurements, and active prism targets for grade control and paving applications.
Trimble MagDrive™ servo technology – an electromagnetic direct drive servo system which gives high turning speeds and accuracy.
SurePoint – automatically corrects the horizontal and vertical angles so measurements will be accurate, even if you don’t set up the instrument perfectly level.

20Hz Update Rate – reliably track a machine target and know the data is being passed from the instrument to the machine as quickly and accurately as possible.

3Hz DR Scanning – super fast scanning capability for vertical / sloping profile measurements and stockpile scans.

APPLICATIONS

  • Smaller construction sites or combined with GNSS on larger sites.
  • Tasks where the accuracy requirements are very tight.
  • Measuring dangerous or inaccessible locations.
  • High precision machine control and guidance.
  • Reflectorless measurement of stockpiles, rock faces, cuttings and structures.
  • Layout of structures, foundations, caissons and piles.
  • Tunnel measurement.
  • As-built records and grade checks on laid material.
  • Areas where GNSS will not work – indoors.

Robotic total stations

Take accurate measurements in less time and get real-time alerts to make the required adjustments. More accurate data is captured using a faster instrument speed, enabling increased productivity and faster results to grade.

The SPS620 and SPS720 are perfect for one-person operation on smaller site operations and work on structures such as bridges or culverts. Offering very high accuracy and reliability for construction site positioning, setting out and measurement.

THEY BENEFIT FROM TRIMBLE MULTITRACK™ AND MAGDRIVE™ SERVO TECHNOLOGY, AS WELL AS:

  • Trimble DR Standard long-range reflectorless EDM technology – for single-shot measurements.
  • Automatic correction for mislevelments +/- 6’ – instant warning for any mislevelments beyond 6’ and average angles.
  • Angles returned at 1000Hz – averaged over the 2 second period to obtain an average angle measurement.
  • Internal Radio – that operates in the public free 2.4 GHz band.
  • 5 arc second accuracy – using the SPS620 for the vertical and horizontal angle measurements.
  • 3 arc second accuracy – in the horizontal angle using the SPS720.
  • 2 arc second accuracy – in the vertical angle using the SPS620.

APPLICATIONS

  • Smaller construction sites or combined with GNSS on larger sites.
  • Tasks where the accuracy requirements are tight.
  • Measuring dangerous or inaccessible locations.
  • Automated target measurement for movement of ground or buildings that could be affected by construction activities.
